Obninsk: Diagnostics and Repair of an Elekta Synergy S Linear Accelerator

From October 12 to 16, 2026, service engineer Evgeny Smirnov performed diagnostics and repairs on an Elekta Synergy S linear accelerator in Obninsk under the service contract. He reinstalled Windows and Integrity 4.0.4 on the LCS control computer, replaced the reflector on leaf Y1-40, and calibrated the Beam Modulator optical system. He also optimized the electron gun filament current for photon energies of 6 and 10 MV. Together with representatives of the medical facility, he measured and corrected photon beam profile symmetry at 6 and 10 MV.
