Arkhangelsk: Diagnostics and Repair of an Elekta Synergy Linear Accelerator

From October 19 to 23, 2026, service engineer Evgeny Smirnov performed diagnostics on an Elekta Synergy linear accelerator in Arkhangelsk under the service contract. He investigated a missing camera image in the MLCi2 optical system, an MLC Link error and loss of individual leaf images at large field sizes on the Y2 side. He repaired the power supply in the optical system’s MLC interface unit, adjusted and calibrated the MLCi2 optical system, and optimized the electron gun current for a photon energy of 6 MV.
